There are more than just alternate side parking and illegal driveways that are causing the parking in Brooklyn. Overtime the community grows and that’s part of life. With more people, there needs more space to live. So what does the city do? Build more apartment buildings, of course! These buildings take up a lot of real estate and bring a lot of people with their cars.
Another cause to the parking problem is the affordable leasing that every car dealership has. Leasing wasn’t a popular thing up until recent years. If you went to a dealership today, you can walk out with car that would cost only $100 a month. So, with affordable leasing, anyone can get a car and less likely to take public transportation.
